A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a position with an industry leading tech giant, based in Cambridgeshire, for a part-time Payroll Administrator. Please be aware this is a part time role with flexible working hours however, you would generally be expected to be working five days a week, Monday to Friday

Typical Day

  • Busy, varied workload
  • Payroll, pension & benefit processing
  • Managing statutory payments & returns, ensuing legal requirements are filled
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions
  • Actively look for ways to improve relevant systems & processes
  • Respond to payroll related queries & complaints
  • Data reconciliation & validation
  • Cover for payroll specialist (with adequate support & training) in times of absence

Required Skills

  • Experience in timely and accurate payroll preparation, processing & reconciliation with basic payroll statutory knowledge
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel, knowing how to prepare & use pivot tables, V-lookups & formulas.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical & numerical skills.
  • Good communicator - customer orientated & good at building & maintain relationships
  • Excellent administration skills, managing multiple tasks simultaneously whilst prioritising your workload
  • Proven track record of working effectively in a small team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Basic pension statutory knowledge & experience using SAP
  • Experience working with an outsourced service provider
  • Previously worked with multiple payroll simultaneously
  • Relevant IIP qualifications (institute of payroll professionals) or similar
