Senior Buyer (Manufacturing)

Location: Warrington

Package: £35k - £37k & bonus, 22 day holiday, BUPA, (family cover), excellent pension, excellent career development

There are plenty of Senior Buyer roles within manufacturing jobs on line at the moment so why should you look at this one? OK, this is a forward thinking, expanding manufacturing environment and they’ve seen what investment in their manufacturing processes results in when it comes to gaining an advantage over their competitors and they are now the leading player in their sector in the UK.

On that basis, we are looking to increase the size of the supply chain team so that’s a first point to consider – this is a newly created role in a growing team rather than an environment that is standing still. What will you be working on and will it keep evolving? Working with the other manufacturing facilities across the world and ultimately setting up their supplier bases across the world as well – bringing your experience and knowledge to constantly improve the purchasing processes.

What are we looking for?

Whilst we are looking for an established Senior Buyer from a manufacturing sector experience, the personality fit is probably just as important, if not more. We are looking for an individual who really understands this for the opportunity that it is – to come in to a world leading organisation and lead this department. The role is a senior one and we are looking for someone to work closely with the Supply Chain Manager, be their “2nd in command” even, with a view to moving in to senior parts of the business.

The role itself:

The Senior Buyer (Manufacturing) role is an all-encompassing role across the supply chain including commercial negotiations and contract compliance, total acquisition cost optimization, product life-cycle management, supply demand planning and inventory management, supply base performance metrics and continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and longer-term supply strategy development and implementation.

A role where you are given massive autonomy, develop your skills even further in a truly unique opportunity.

Environment & Culture:

We have placed people in this organisation at all levels and have seen constant improvements and progression to successful candidates. This is something that they are keen to do with yourself if you have the right attitude to develop, continually improve and take their supply chain department and team to the “next level” across the UK, Europe and the world with real investment coming in to any successful applicants. It is a culture where they are constantly looking to improve in every way they can to stay at the top of their market, always listening to their staff and taking their ideas on board. It will be a place where you can implement your experience gained over your successful career whist constantly gaining new skills and improving.

Next Steps:

If this sounds like you, or you would like to find out more about this opportunity, then please send a copy of your CV to this advert with your contact details and I will be happy to go into further detail. If at that point we are both happy to proceed, then we will work together with you and support you throughout your application and interview.

Look forward to hearing your story…
