Key purpose of the role:
A key member of the Leadership team with specific responsibility for Finance, Distribution and IT, the postholder plays a key role in strategic planning, business development and the operational management of the Charity.

Overall responsibility for budget management, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis and financial control within a complex environment, distribution of funds, resource allocation and risk and contingency management. The role also leads and oversees the Charity's IT systems, infrastructure and support and will be responsible for the procurement and management of the services which make up the technical infrastructure of the business.

Person Specification

-A CCAB qualified accountant (including ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, and ICAEW inter alia) or senior
financial qualification with analogous professional standing where the candidate can demonstrate that
it equips them for the role, e.g. CPA or ICSA.

Leadership and Organisation

-Exceptional capacity for managing and leading people, motivating and empowering managers and staff.
-A record of successfully managing and motivating a team towards the delivery of key goals, creating effective frameworks and measures for holding people to account while encouraging creativity and the contribution of new ideas.

Managerial Capability

-Demonstrated experience with the full range of business functions including strategic development and planning, budgeting, business analysis, finance and information systems.
-A successful track record of building and managing a financially sustainable organisation.
