Staff Nurse/Senior Nurse - Nursing Home - Hatfield - £17/hr

+ Paid Breaks + Paid Handover + £2000 Welcome Bonus

This staff nurse vacancy is a great opportunity to work with a not for profit organisation that has over ten years experience in the healthcare sector. This organisation specialises in residential, dementia, nursing and palliative care and has high standards across all specialities. They are a leading provider of housing, care and community services and ranked in the top 20 largest care providers in the UK.

The staff nurse vacancy is for one of their nursing homes in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The home itself if a purpose built care home that offers specialist nursing services for just under 120 residents. These residents may need particular nursing care for individuals needs such as dementia, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, sensory impairments as well as care for the elderly frail. Split into units, the home has a nurse per unit, clinical leads, senior nurses and a home manager, that are all clinically qualified and or course registered nurses.

Your Role

  • Monitoring patients' conditions
  • Carrying out treatment plans
  • Assisting with patient needs
  • Building and maintaining healthy and professional relationships with the residents, relatives and colleagues
  • Using initiative to respond to incidents in a professional and appropriate manner
  • Documenting and administering medication

Role Requirements

  • Are a registered nurse RGN with a valid NMC pin
  • Have previous experience in working within elderly care
  • Prefered nursing home experience
  • Be able to complete and pass a DBS check
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
