As a result recent changes in the business, we are now seeking a commercially savvy Finance Manager to report directly into the MD and help to drive the performance of the business to the next level.
So what is the job?
It's a number one job in finance. A chance to be involved in all aspects of the business management, working as a number 2 to the MD. You will deputise in their absence and as such, you will have a keen nose for identifying and maximising commercial opportunity.
In addition, you will manage the finance function, making sure that you take the lead on all financial accounting, regulatory submissions and management accounts. You'll also be a key driver in the budgeting and forecasting process.
If you are someone who likes variety in a role, you'll love being involved in a variety of business critical, strategic projects. You'll also drive the commercial analysis and insight as part of the senior leadership team. Without your management information, it won't be possible to drive growth.

You are likely to be a natural leader. Someone who is happy to get your hands dirty, roll your sleeves up and get into the detail, but also someone who can step away and see the bigger picture. Someone who likes to get things done in the right way and someone who can give your team the room to grow and develop over time.
You'll also be someone who has the ability to challenge the status quo, someone who can drive change, but bring people on the journey with you and get their buy in.
You are most likely to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA OR CIMA) but consideration will be given to those who are QBE or at the latter stages of their professional qualification, assuming you can demonstrate all of the core competencies in the role.
