Everyone's Turning Point is unique. It's the moment when they realise they've made a small, but important, step forward. Very often, that small step is the start of something bigger. But only when the right support, psychological interventions and services are in place.

Pendlebury House Independent Hospital, located in a community setting in Swinton Salford, provides rehabilitation, treatment and care for 10 men with severe and enduring mental health problems. We believe in a person-centred approach, encouraging every individual to reach their full potential, whilst working towards their personal recovery. Ultimately our aim is to reintroduce and maintain daily living skills along with the psychosocial interventions necessary to equip people with the skills and coping strategies necessary to enable them to live more independently in the Community.

We are now looking for an experienced RMN to play a key role in our multi-disciplinary team; working within an evidence based framework alongside an Art Therapist, O.T. and Assistant Psychologist, you will assist in providing psychosocial interventions and assist with activities of daily living on a daily basis.

For the suitably qualified individual, the professional challenges will be significant and varied. On a day-to-day basis you will be fully engaged in a range of activities; taking part in clinical audits and acting as a primary nurse for nominated service users, participating in MDT reviews, the CPA process and attendance at any tribunals or Managers' Hearings for detained service users. Acting as a professional role model, you will take part in Clinical Supervision and offer clinical and line management supervision to more junior members of staff and act as a mentor for Student Nurses.

Our salary scales are comparative with the NHS and there are opportunities to further enhance professional and personal development and training. You will be required to work 37 hours per week, including rotational night duty. We would also like to hear from qualified candidates interested in joining our Nurse Bank.

In return for your hard work, dedication and commitment, we can offer the opportunity to grow, learn and develop as a nurse. We will provide you with a range of training opportunities as well as the opportunity to gain new experiences through working in a range of other services we have throughout the UK. We also offer the below benefits:

  • Pension plan
  • Annual leave and option to buy/sell it
  • Flexible working/job share (wherever we can)
  • Child care vouchers (for tax and NI savings)
  • Season ticket loan
  • Bike 2 Work (for tax and NI savings)
  • Learning and Development
  • Car (for some roles)
  • Travel expenses
  • Family/flexible leave (such as parental, sabbatical or adoption)
  • Free financial, legal and practical life advice
  • Online health assessment tools
  • Counselling services
  • Support from an occupational health and well-being provider
  • Nurse registrations fee paid for

Running health facilities and services on a not-for-profit basis, we invest every penny back into our care - and our people. So, if you're ambitious and focused on clinical excellence, you can look forward to excellent training and progressing a clinical career with real value.

We reserve the right to close this advert early if we are able to appoint to the vacancy before the advertised closed date.
