Avenues client is one of the largest stainless-steel fabrication companies in Europe that specialises in the manufacture of machinery and process plant in industrial water and waste treatment. They are currently looking for a Contracts Engineer to join their client's highly professional Engineering team.

The Role
Reporting to the Projects Department Manager, this person will be responsible for the overall administration of multiple mechanical & electrical projects (typical value £50K - 500K) from receipt of order through to final hand-over to the client.
We are looking for a mechanical or electrical engineer qualified to HNC level or higher with experience of working in a similar environment preferably water and waste treatment or another process industry. The role requires a good communicator and negotiator who enjoys working closely with customers. The successful candidate must have good organisational skills, specifically the ability to co-ordinate the activities of external sub-contractors and internal engineering resources to achieve key project milestones within budget.
Based in Wiltshire.

The Candidate

Essential Requirements:
*HNC Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Preferred)
*Commercial awareness and basic understanding of contract law
*Proven ability to negotiate and liaise with clients and suppliers
*Project Management experience - up to 20 small / medium projects at any one time.
*Good IT skills (Microsoft Project), written & verbal communication skills
*Relevant experience could come from capital equipment, in the process/ agricultural/ food & dairy/ oil & petrol/ waste industry to name a few

Desirable Requirements:
*Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Preferred)
*Water or Process Industry Experience
