An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading Automotive manufacturer with a strong international reputation and a diverse customerbase.
This role is well situated in the West Midlands and commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coventry and Telford.
Reporting to the UK Operations Director you will have full autonomy to manage the day to day Operations of a Tier 1 Automotive Plant in the West Midlands. Key tasks are to manage customer relations, help the business in cultural and physical change and ensure delivery of product to customer in the required time, cost and quality.You will manage across all Operations including Production, Manufacturing, MP&L, Maintenance and Facilities.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Operations leader for our Automotive client based in the West Midlands who can lead, motivate and challenge a team in a highly pressurised, fast paced 1st Tier environment. It is essential that you are from an automotive background experienced in supplying JIT in to an OEM environment. Experience of assemly operations would be preferable but not essential though experience of automotive (TS16949) is essential.
Candidates without experience of the automotive industry at OEM or Tier 1 level will not be considered at this time.
This role will involve some real challenges in terms of managing robust teams, supporting business growth, achieving Manufacturing and Production output targets and delivery, coaching and training. You should have experience of leading large Production and Manufacturing teams. You must be comfortable working in highly unionised environments. Ideal candidates will be of degree calibre and qualified in engineering and manufacturing subject.
