Support Engineer - 2nd/3rd line
VIQU are working in Partnership with an organisation based in Warwick to recruit a Support Engineer on a permanent basis.
You will work as part of a team to provide support to customers and act as a as a point of escalation from the 1st and 2nd line team.
As support Engineer you will work on a variety of 3rd line duties including:
-Problem diagnosis and organisation of follow up remediation activities
-Work to agreed arrangements to rectify incidents
-Providing ongoing system maintenance
-Carrying out infrastructure builds, network configuration as and when required to support the Project Team
-Aid over the phone and via email, whilst prioritising workload on a logging system
Due to the varied nature of this support role, the ideal candidate will come from a 2nd and 3rd line background and have had exposure to project related worked.
The technical knowledge required for the role include:
- configure, support and maintain Microsoft Server Operating Systems, UNIX/ Linux & Mac-OS operating systems
-Virtualisation platform management including Hyper-V, Microsoft Desktop/ hosted-shared desktop VDI platform administration,
-firewalls and information security products
-Office 365 administration
-VoIP administration and support
Due to the direct exposure to customers, this role will also require you to have excellent interpersonal skills alongside technical experience.
