SERVICE DESK TECHNICIAN

LOCATION : Salford

DURATION : Permanent

SALARY : £21,000

SUMMARY

A service desk technician role has become available within a global outsourcing organisation based in Salford. As service desk technician, you will provide 1st line helpdesk support to clients. You will assist with hardware and software issues, helping the IT function to operate efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To provide 1st line helpdesk support via phone and / or email

  • To provide support at the desk-side where required

  • To work to ITIL standards deployed internally

  • To log all incidents in an efficient manner

  • To manage data updates

  • To help with facilities tasks where required

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 1st line help desk experience (over 1 year)

  • Understanding of hardware / software including MS Windows, MS Office and Office 365

  • Active Directory

  • Profile RPM

  • MS Internet Explorer Microsoft based operating systems

FURTHER INFORMATION

As a service desk technician, you will have strong communication skills with a clear and confident telephone manner. You will have the ability to work as a team player, with good listening skills. Occasional visits to regional offices may be required
