Are you an Engineer experienced in Seat belt and Safety System Design looking to join a leading Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer? Do you have a passion for saving lives?

If so, Assystem have an opportunity for you! One of the world's largest automotive manufacturers is currently recruiting for a Seat belt and Safety System Design Engineer to help them develop unique and innovative automotive products. Based in the UK you will be working within a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Safety engineers on a rolling contract basis. You'll have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and experience of project management within a technical environment.

As a global leader in automotive vehicle development and production, within the role of Seat belt and Safety System Design Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for:
*Parts development and system performance planning from 'cradle to grave' for the Safety and Restraints System on European models, specifically relating to airbags
*Supplier and project ownership of all aspects of development including cost management, project milestone management and quality target achievement
*Motivated to form mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external contacts

To be considered for the role of Seat belt and Safety System Design Engineer, you will need:
*Experience in working for an OEM or tier 1 supplier within a safety-related environment.
*Experience and knowledge of the development of supplementary restraint systems (SRS) or supplementary inflatable restraints (SIR)
*Previous supplier management experience, working together to resolve issues and meet project time lines
*Utilise all company and personal research for enhancing technical knowledge relating to airbag production and safety legislation
