JOB: Manufacturing / Engineering Technical Trainer

Sector: Manufacturing

Location: Kettering

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Are you a Skilled Engineer with a hands-on background in volume manufacturing looking to add another string to your bow. Our client is looking for such a person who in addition to their engineering skills has a flare and passion for passing knowledge onto others.

If you are that person looking to move into an industry training-based role with the skills and experience, but no Trainer training apply, it will be provided. Alternatively, you may be in a similar role looking for a new challenge.

Technical Trainer Core Responsibilities:

  • To carry out all weld training and certification to CSWIP standards (UK regulations) for both steel and aluminium
  • To carry out all induction training for all levels appropriate to induction programme
  • To carry out basic technical training and diagnosistics for setters including basic robotics
  • To support the evaluation and audit of operational areas against induction plans and skills matrices
  • To act as Mentor/Coach for Plant apprentices and support local activities with educational establishments within the local area
  • Coordinate training and workshop including relevant briefings/discussions with external and internal trainers

Technical Trainer, Qualifications / Experience

  • Experienced Engineer/Technician with relevant background
  • Educated to at least HNC level / qualified engineer or apprentice
  • Welding experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship and influencing skills
  • Highly numerate & literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
