Our client specialise in the Medical and Aerospace industry and ideally looking for someone with similar experience, however they will consider candidates who have relevant experience from a precision engineering environment.

The CMM Programmer / Inspector will be responsible for operating and programming Mitutoyo CMM and inspecting all finished machined parts against the design spec. You will ensure that products meet customer specifications and that production batch quantities are maintained.

Specific Duties:

·Writing details CMM programs, as well as creating short programs for complex parts
·Programming and operating Mitutoyo CMM machine
·Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings - including standards, tolerances and surface finishes
·Carry out First Article / First Off inspection for components
·Conduct stage inspections of detailed machined components
·Carry out and record routine inspection on production parts using CMM, projectors, micrometers and gauges
·Interpreting the results and reporting back to the production team

The successful CMM Programmer / Inspector will have:

·Previous experience in a similar role
·Excellent knowledge of Mitutoyo CMM Measuring, including programming
·Extensive knowledge of PC-DMIS and CAD
·Ideally have worked within medical/aerospace industry
·Ability to read and interpret close tolerance engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
·Experience using precision measuring equipment
