Are you a communications professional with experience of managing stakeholder relationships, raising awareness of high-profile projects and delivering multifaceted strategies within a complex environment? TfGM oversees transport in Greater Manchester, delivering and improving transport services, facilities and information to make travel easier for everyone. We deliver high-profile, large-scale transport projects such as the expansion of the Metrolink network to the Trafford Centre and new state of the art rail & bus inter-changes in Bolton, Wigan, Ashton and Stockport. Greater Manchester is changing. With a growing population and economy, and one of the most significant devolution agendas nationally, this is an exciting time for transport in Greater Manchester. We are seeking a Strategic Communications and Consultations Manager to oversee the day-to-day planning, implementation and evaluation of communications, stakeholder engagement, public participation and consultation activity in support of TfGM’s strategic priorities. You will have extensive experience of successfully engaging wide-ranging audiences; be able to translate technical information into simple messaging; and have proven ability to manage communications and consultation projects and teams. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of a transformative agenda and we are seeking someone with the drive, ambition, high standards and experience to succeed. This is a 2 Year Fixed Term Contract.
