- You will be working for one of the fastest growing companies in the ophthalmology market place
- This business has seen rapid growth over the last few years and now have an expanding team supporting their Customers across the UK within NHS & Private hospitals, Primary & Secondary Care / CCG's and Retail Opticians & Pharmacies

ROLE:

- We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager within retail optics for a family owned ophthalmology company
- This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing pharmaceutical organisation and our client has an extensive product range within the Ophthalmology market

MAIN ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Business Development & Sales within the retail optics market, calling on key customers within high street multiples and independents
- Gaining access to Store Directors, Practice Managers and Key Decision Makers in retail optic practices on this territory
- Delivering quarterly and annual territory targets in line with optics budget expectations
- Working with the Regional Sales Manager of the optics team including other internal colleagues
- Educating Optometrists about patient eye care and company portfolio of products
- Increasing company market share in optics arena in line with objectives
- Providing training and product trials to customers and new product launch plans

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

You are likely to be in one of the following categories:

- Have sales experience in the optics / ophthalmology market
- Experience in a Territory based sales role selling within the OTC, Retail, FMCG markets
- Experience as a Dispensing Optician or Practice Manager who is looking to step into your first commercial role

ESSENTIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

- Proven track record of sales success
- Understand the ophthalmic market
- A positive approach with the passion and drive to succeed
- A strong work ethic motivated by challenge
- A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

IDEALLY YOU WILL:

- Be educated to a minimum of 'A' level standard
- Be able to plan and prioritise your workload based on business potential, optimising sales potential
- Have a flexible approach to your work, thriving in a small yet evolving company
- Be professional, highly motivated and keen to exceed the expectations of customers
