Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager in the following geographical area:

SR 4399 Scotland

Please note that whilst this position covers the whole of Scotland we are seeking applicants located in the central belt area.

The company in question is a rapidly growing organisations in the ophthalmology arena offering a range of proven, successful brands for the treatment of dry eye and blepharitis. Although you will work as part of a wider territory team, you will be the only Representative targeting multi-chain and independent opticians, and the role therefore confers a great deal of autonomy (your colleagues will call on allied healthcare professionals such as GPs, pharmacists and hospital level customers).

You will sell a comprehensive range of topical products for the treatment of blepharitis and dry eye, plus an oral supplement that offers an additional dry eye management option, and a device for measuring the osmolality of tears (along with associated consumables).

As you will be required to get in front of decision makers such as Optometrists and Practice Managers in order to push deals through and will be expected to explore and develop new business opportunities, we are looking for someone who is extremely self-motivated, tenacious and ultimately focussed on bringing new business on board. Enthusiasm, confidence and the ability to communicate with authority to senior professionals will be fundamental to success in this role.

On this occasion our client is seeking to recruit candidates who fulfill the following criteria:

* Ideally possess current optics sales experience gained in the retail sector
* Candidates must live within the central belt area of Scotland
* Must have a high level of self-motivation and a strong work ethic
* Need to hold a full UK driving license (with no more than 6 points)
* Must be eligible to work in the UK on a full time, permanent basis; unfortunately we cannot accept applications from applicants requiring sponsorship.

The successful applicant will be invited to commence employment as soon as they are available to do so.

In return, you will be rewarded with a generous basic salary paid commensurate with experience and current remuneration (for guidance to circa £38,000), company car (or opt out car allowance if preferred), pension, private healthcare, daily allowance plus benefits package and performance related bonus of up to 20% of basic salary.

For more information or to apply either call us today quoting the SR reference of the position which interests you or submit your CV on line. And if you know someone else who may be interested, pass on our details - you will receive £££ as a 'thank you' if we place them.

We assure you that all applications will be treated in the strictest of confidence, and that your CV will not be sent to either this organisation or any other company without your express consent.

Whilst we would like to reply to every application, unfortunately this is not always possible; please therefore note that if you have not received a response from us within 7 days of sending in your CV we will not be considering you for this particular post. You would of course be very welcome to submit your details for other opportunities we are advertising.
