Regional Leader, South England and Wales
Do you believe in a world where all belong?
Will you help make that a reality for people with learning disabilities?
L'Arche is a worldwide federation of Communities with and without learning disabilities. L'Arche creates communities where people can share life together and support each other, nourishing mutual friendships that reveal the gifts of each other. The essential dimensions to L'Arche are community, spiritual, service and outreach. The provision of support and care services is an integral part of most L'Arche Communities.
We seek a new Regional Leader to be responsible for five L’Arche Communities and one Project. Together these Communities support and sustain over 120 people with learning disabilities.
The post involves providing leadership and guidance to Community Leaders, working in partnership to ensure that the Communities are fulfilling their mission locally, are financially viable, and are meeting required standards of care and support.
Significant senior leadership experience is essential, including experience of financial planning and management. We need an excellent communicator who thrives on contact with people with and without learning disabilities. An understanding of social care, housing, or a related sector is preferred. Most important is a commitment to the Identity and Mission of L’Arche.
The location is flexible, but the postholder should be within easy reach of one of the Communities in London (Lambeth), Kent, Bognor, Ipswich, Brecon or Flintshire. The role involves regular travel to the Communities, to national meetings, and occasionally to international meetings.
Are you inspired to bring your professional skills and experience to support our vision of a world where everyone belongs?
