A Rich History and an Exciting Future.
Aurora is an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. We are currently looking for a Support Worker to join Aurora Orchard Manor.
Orchard Manor provides education, care and therapeutic support for young adults with severe and profound communication difficulties associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injury and degenerative disorders. They may have complex health and sensory needs and associated difficulties that require specialist support to enable them to access life skills training.
Orchard Manor shares the site with Meldreth Manor children’s home and school. It is currently undergoing a multi-million-pound redevelopment that will provide contemporary living and learning environments for young people with complex needs. The investment in both the infrastructure and our people will transform Meldreth & Orchard Manor into one of the leading education and care services in the UK.
Are you someone who wants to feel proud of what you do each day? Do you want to help a young adult with disabilities live more independently? You don’t need to have any formal qualifications as we can provide the training you need to become qualified – what you do need is energy, enthusiasm and passion to help make a difference.
As a Support Worker, you’ll be helping individuals to live the lives they choose and to ‘empower them to grow’. It’s a really important role, having responsibility for supporting people’s personal, health and care needs. Regardless of your experience, we will work with you to develop your skills and confidence in the role. Every Support Worker is given an extensive induction which includes group based classroom training.
So, if you’re looking for a friendly and rewarding environment to work in, then this is the perfect role for you.
