Senior Student Engagement Officer

£28,000 per annum

35 hours per week

We’re Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity – and we’re dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease. We believe that if we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live – and live well.

The role

The Student Engagement Team enable students to make the greatest difference to those affected by breast cancer while having the best possible experience.

You will be an experienced Senior Student Engagement Officer who wants to join our innovative Student Engagement team and help us develop a sector leading student programme. You will deliver excellent account management to our partner RAGs, build new relationships with student groups and individuals and develop new supporter journeys to increase engagement with students at university and beyond.

You will organise our flagship student events, including two London megaraids, the student conference and student stewardship events.

We take a relationship fundraising approach, building relationships through telephone and face to face contact to understand supporters’ motivations; establish how they want to raise money; engage their networks; and support them to do this. The successful post holder needs to have a complete commitment to relationship fundraising.

About you

You are an excellent relationship builder, skilled in influencing others and delivering partnerships that exceed expectations. Well organised with great attention to detail you can be relied upon to deliver to deadlines and inquisitive and innovative to always seek ways to make improvements and spot new opportunities.

You are a team player, willing to step in and support others when needed and thrive in an ambitious and determined team. With experience of student fundraising you will be looking for a role with great potential where you can make a real impact.

The role will involve frequent travel to universities across the UK and you must be able to attend evening/weekend meetings and be willing to stay away overnight when required.

Closing date: 11.59pm on 25 February 2018.

Interview date: Friday 2 March and Monday 5 March 2018.
