The Royal College of General Practitioners is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1952, it has over 51,000 members who are committed to improving patient care, developing their own skills and promoting general practice as a discipline. General practice is the largest branch of the medical profession. It provides some 1 million consultations for patients in the UK every working day and deals with 86% of the health problems experienced by the UK population.

The post holder will coordinate all administrative aspects of the College's new GP with Extended Role (GPwER) accreditation process, acting as the first point of contact for queries from candidates, commissioners and other stakeholders and providing up to date information and guidance in relation to the process.

The coordinator will plan, set up and administer the quarterly assessment panels, support assessors, panel members and candidates in the accreditation process and maintain associated databases and relevant documentation whilst also servicing the working group meetings.

The post holder will ensure a consistently high standard of organisation, data management and customer service skills. They will also need to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and problem-solving skills, especially as this is a new area of work.

The successful candidate will share our corporate values. In return, the College offers excellent terms and conditions.
