The governors of this highly successful, partially selective, mixed school invite applications for the post of Teacher of Maths. We seek a highly motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join our outstandingly successful Maths Department of 16 Maths specialists. You will need to be able to teach students up to and including A level. Over 140 students take A level; 30 of those also study Further Maths in each year. The Department benefits from excellent facilities in a purpose-built Maths building. This post provides an excellent opportunity for an NQT or experienced teacher wishing to develop their A Level teaching.
In 2017, 97% of all students secured five or more A*-Cs at GCSE, and 82% of A level entries were graded A*- B.
Dame Alice Owen’s School is situated on an attractive 35-acre site in the Green Belt, has excellent facilities and is committed to an extensive programme of staff development. Central London is easily reached by rail from Potters Bar and the school is close to motorway links. The school has accommodation on site suitable for those individuals who may be relocating.
