Business Development Manager

17.5 hours per week (negotiable), with some evening/weekend work

£31,601 – £34,538 pro-rata (FTE 35 hours per week)

1 year initially subject to funding – fixed term contract (with the possibility of extension)

Community Works is a well-established and respected charity giving voluntary and community organisations the support and platform they need to make a difference to local lives and issues.

We are looking for someone to assist us in developing and maintaining sufficient sustainable income streams. You will be experienced in championing new business ideas and innovations and have commercial business experience, with awareness of the charity sector. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator able to work as part of the team here at Community Works and report on financial targets through the Chief Executive to the Board of Trustees. You’ll be a self-starter and able to create sustainable relationships which benefit the organisation.

The post is based in the Brighton office of Community Works, with some requirement for travel to our Worthing office as necessary.
