We are currently have several Care Assistant / HCA vacancies for experienced, dedicated carers to work in Swindon, Royal-Wootton-Bassett, Pewsey and the surrounsing towns as part of our Swindon team.

Caring Position:

Every Newcross Care Assistant makes a difference in the lives of the patients they encounter, through their compassionate and sensitive approach, but also their ability to deliver the highest quality person-centred care.

Through your promotion of independence, you will encourage and support people in their day-to-day lives, enabling them to live more fulfilling lives. This could include a range of tasks and activities such as personal care, domestic tasks and general activities that allow that individual to live their life in the way they choose.

You will be working in a range of nursing, care and residential homes providing the highest level of care for local service users. It is highly desirable that you have previous experience working with dementia due to our client base in the Swindon area.

Work full or part time hours of your choosing with all the security of a permanent contract and a minimum guaranteed hours with us.

Due to rural client locations and shift times, public transport is not always readily available, therefore access to your own vehicle is desirable.

Person Specification:

To apply for this position, you will need the right to live and work in the UK, previous professional experience working in a care environment in the UK within the last 3 years and referee contact details to include a manager or supervisor who can comment on your clinical ability.

You will also need a certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months, or be willing to book onto a Newcross course.

A NVQ2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care is desirable, but not essential.
