We have an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Sales Consultant/ Solutions Architect to join our Product Development Group, where you will work closely with the Business Development team, undertaking pre-sales activities such as product demonstrations and workshops, to shaping solutions and working with the technical development teams to see your solution through to delivery. This will include working with customers both in the UK and internationally, supporting the growth plans for our flagship product "RM Assessor" - the world's most widely used and innovative high stakes e-marking platform.

At RM Results we are experts in online exam authoring, testing and marking and the management and analysis of educational data. As Pre-Sales Consultant/ Solutions Architect you will work with long established customers who rely on us to deliver systems which are critical to their success. You will also have the opportunity to propose and develop new systems and services, helping to craft solutions that lead to new long-term partnerships. As a key member of our team you will have the opportunity to work across a wide variety of projects ranging from multi-million pound bids to small enhancements to existing products.

Key responsibilities

This role is critical to the continued growth of RM Results and the relationships that you build with our customers and across our global development and delivery teams will be key to your success.
  • Customers will look to you to capture and help shape their ideas, document their requirements, and ensure that the systems that are delivered meet their strategic needs.
  • Our business development team will rely on your product expertise to support the introduction of products and services for new and existing customers.
  • Our development teams will look to you to clearly communicate customer requirements, and advise on high level designs to deliver a great product
  • Our service management team will look to you to provide high quality communications between different stakeholders and ensure that expectations are well managed.


  • Skills & experience
    • Strong customer relationship skills
    • Demonstrable experience of Requirement Analysis
    • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts
    • Define and represent high level designs using a variety of techniques
    • Strong communication skills
    • Flexibility, incl. travel to customer sites across the UK and also internationally
