A client of mine, one of Londons HE Institutes, has an opening for an experienced Planning Officer to work within their Planning and Resource division.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a Higher Education Institute, in a planning support role that will involve advising on the development of reporting, admissions forecasting, league tables. including the collection and review of stu dent number plans for all attendees from divisions and the colleges, societies and Private Halls on a regular basis.
The candidate will be responsible for generating and providing stu dent number planning data to divisions to complement the planning process, and to colleges, Graduate Admissions and Funding and other committees as required, as well as supporting and preparing data sets for HESA returns.
It is essential for the candidate to have the following:
- ability to demonstrate strong numerical analysis skills, managing datasets that are both complex and large
- ability to demonstrate confidence and experience in the use of Microsoft Excel;
- ability to rapidly develop detailed knowledge of new technology and complex processes, including the ability to learn a programming language and report technical data to senior management
- ability to analyse written and numerical information and draw inferences from the material supported by argument and evidence
