Spalding, Salary £36 - £38k depending on experience

As a market leader in their field, our client is keen to stay ahead of the curve within the manufacturing environment they operate in.

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of projects from planning through to execution while overseeing the day to day organisation of the engineering department and reporting to the Engineering Supervisor.

My client is currently looking to bring on board a dynamic Shift Team Leader (Days) to lead and deliver the site plans for their Spalding site, ensuring the technicians working on the shift adhere to the smooth running of quality and engineering at all times. You will need to deliver optimum use of resources that ensures the shift delivers safety, productivity, quality, cost, service and objectives in an environment of high morale and engagement.

The successful candidate will be an all-round engineering professional with experience within a similar environment and with the ambition to forge a career within a market leading global company.

What we’re looking for:

• Through continuous improvement, drive the move from a ‘repair culture’ to an ‘improvement culture’, enhancing equipment performance and reliability by developing technical skills and knowledge
• Deputise for the Engineering Manager
• Full and appropriate levels of electrical, mechanical and PLC certification required, which is to be supported by practical ability and actions and assessment as and when required
• Competent IT/Computer skills including Holistech literate
• Actively seek opportunities for self-development and learning and learns from experiences through evaluation
• Attend training courses as identified by legislative / company requirements
• Engage with the PDM process to identify training and development opportunities
• Comply with the companies own Codes of Practice

Proven experience in day to day Engineering within a FMCG / food manufacturing environment is ideal but not essential as full training will be given for suitability qualified engineers who have the aptitude and ability to learn new skills.
