As the QA Manager, you will report directly into the Managing Director and have 1 direct report.

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in a team where you will effectively head up the Quality Assurance dpeartment, and realyl make a difference in this position.

Some responsiblilities include:

- Regulatory compliance - upkeep of licence & review of Quality Systems.

- Responsibility for Product batch review and release

- Design, upkeep and maintenance of external and internal audit systems: to ensure regular audits are being carried out by experienced staff.

- Develop strategies and processes to ensure that total quality is promoted throughout the company.

- Act as the company expert on quality assurance management and provide any necessary training and advice to managers and staff to ensure that they pursue the objectives of quality assurance management and continuous improvement of quality.

- Responsible for Recalls/Returns/Rework.

- Control QA departmental budget and resources to ensure that these operate cost-effectively and in accordance with quality standards.

You must have:

- Working knowledge of microbiological testing;

- At least 5 years microbiological experience, in bacteriology and/or

- At least 3 years experience of quality assurance management in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry with experience of MHRA/VMD regulations

- A biological science degree and/or relevant professional qualification

Salary is around £45k but is negtiable for the right person.
