Grid Point specializes in the placement of both freelance and permanent site engineers. A client has asked us to find a site engineer to join their team as a permanent employee

LOCATION: The company headquarters are located in Hampshire on the south coast, they are looking for a site engineer that lives within driving distance of projects between Reading and Basingstoke, travel to the south coast would only be occasional

THE PROJECT: Various groundwork and civil engineering packages with the occasional small rc frame project

Salary: A salary of between £35-£60k is being offered as they are open to either a junior or senior site engineer

Benefits: 28 days holiday and mileage paid at HMRC rates

Hours: 8am-5pm 5 days a week

Start Date: March 1st -April 1st

The role will involve the following:

1. Setting out: slabs, pop ups, bolts, beams, manholes, drainage, roads etc
2. As built surveys
3. Completing QA paper work
4. Organising your daily work with the site foreman

IMPORTANT CRITERIA:
1. Proficient with total stations, the company uses Trimble or Leica equipment, robotic instrument skills would be preferable
2. AutoCAD skills are preferred but if a suitable candidate is found without cad skills then the company will sponsor them on the Grid Point AutoCAD for site engineers course
3. You must have a minimum of 1 years experience in groundworks setting out for the junior site engineer role
4. You must have a minimum of 5 years experience in groundworks setting out for the senior site engineer role
5. Solid setting out experience with a good attitude and excellent references are more important than academic qualifications, however, if you have a HNC/HND/Degree that is construction related then that would be advantageous.
6. You must be able to work on your own initiative as well as being part of the site team
7. You must have good communication skills, clear English and be able to communicate with the lads on site.
8. You must possess a valid CSCS card.
9. You must have a valid UK Driving Licence
10. You must have the right to work in the UK.
