An Enforcement Planner job in London, large Multi National Consultant. £40k permanent role

Your new role
In your position you will process and assess planning applications including certificates of lawful development, adverts, licences, conditions, householders, prior notifications, change of use, listed building applications and minor developments, carrying out a broad range of administrative work to assist service delivery. Furthermore, you will assist the planning unit where necessary, to carry out a broad range of development management work and support the planning unit in the organisation and running of planning committees and public meetings. You will assist in the preparation and submission of all types of planning applications and appeals and provide advice to all clients and other service users including applicants, agents, members and the general public.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have the ability to read plans and maps to a good standard and interpret information spatially and a track record of successfully working under pressure to meet deadlines, performance targets and produce a regular consistent output of work. Critically you will have excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills and the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, briefings and correspondence. You should possess strong IT skills including successful experience in the application of planning related and geographical information systems (GIS), Microsoft Windows, Word, spreadsheets and databases. Ultimately you will demonstrate the ability to make quality planning decisions and come from a background of successful experience and demonstration of investigating, analysing, recommending and presenting solutions to problems. You will hold a Degree in planning or in a discipline related to post and / or experience in a related field.
