My client are a well established train operating company who are owned by one of the UK's leading operators. The timetable is at the core of the offer they make to their customers. Due to the scale of work in the coming years they are looking to expand their team to help deliver the best service possible.
Your new role
As a planning Interface manager you will be joining an en established Planning and Performance team for the HS2 project. You will be leading the negotiation of engineering access proposals with both HS2 and network Rail with the best possible outcome to minimise disruption. This will include blockade planning and delivery as well as agreeing engineering access strategy with regards to the LNW route.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will need to have previous experience with engineering access planning, strong project management skills and a proven record of delivery and relationship building. You will need to be able to confidently represent the company with strong negotiation skills in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for its customers.
Due to the nature of the role and working on the HS2 project you will be expected to travel to various locations on the London North Western route on occasion however you will primarily be based in Birmingham.
