A Contracts Manager role in London leading a large team with a dynamic specialist contracting business.

With a management team of over 50 experienced staff and a workforce of over 500 this is a business with capacity to tender, design, resource and deliver projects of any size.

Your new role
Reporting to the Construction Director or Managing Director you will head up significant business in excess of £30m per annum, managing a large and diverse team(in excess of 15 own staff and 100 labour operatives) that will comprise of production, D&B, planning and liaison with external consultants (D&B etc.) This position will include management of production activity where a typical gross contract value will range from £2m to £10m. Your position may include a Regional Management component and you will support directors in winning work and making client presentations.

What you'll need to succeed
Critically you will have a deep understanding of the market in which the company operates including an awareness of competitors and new activities, estimates and forecasts overall costs, keeping up to date with modern methods of construction. You will assess risks and consequences before making a judgment on available evidence and ensures that decision is implemented, delegating where appropriate. You should be adept at building alliances inside and outside the business to meet strategic objectives, fostering a team spirit amongst management and staff and create and communicate a shared vision which inspires enthusiasm and commitment to achieve organisational goals, encouraging innovation and ideas.
