Chief / Senior Accountant
Paying up to £50,000 plus benefits
Based in Huntingdon

A fast growing company that has recently been started by a large global organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant for its offices in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The role will report into the CFO.

This is an all-encompassing and hands-on Financial Management role. The role holder will oversee all transactional and management accounting and will be supported by a Financial Accountant.

Key responsibilities include:

*Accountable for statutory accounting, external reporting and compliance with financial policies (SOX compliance, VAT returns)
*Accountable for accurate, timely and quality of periodic closing, financial forecasting, reporting and analysis of all related financials
*Monitoring and managing financial performance
*Preparing and documenting the Budget and Forecast ensuring all budget and forecast assumptions are documented.
*Assisting in preparation of monthly management report and accompanying schedules
*Supporting Operational Heads in all financial matters
*Bank liaison
*Any other ad hoc duties as and when required by the business

To be suitable for the role you must be/have:
*ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
*Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.
*Strong analytical and accounting skills.
*Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook or similar programs.
*Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting. SAP by Design preferred.
