Our Peterborough based client is a dynamic Public Practice Accountancy firm with clients across Cambridgeshire and a reputation for providing quality advice and innovative services. Due to internal promotions, along with recent growth, they now require a Team Manager to join their independently owned practice.Besides managing an eclectic but established portfolio the successful Client Manager will be leading and developing a team.

This Qualified Accountant job in Peterborough is suitable for a Senior Accountant/Manager currently working in a public practice accountancy firm, ACCA/ACA qualified candidates are preferred but consideration will be given to those who are QBE. Our client has no preference on whether the Team Manager should have an Audit or Accounts bias, but it is imperative that they have some supervisory or management experience.

Our client, an established Cambridgeshire accountancy practice has a diverse client base. The Practice has shaped its service offering over the years to include specialist services as well as the traditional Audit, Tax and Accountancy services you would expect. It is this combination of traditional values with innovation and client focus to which they attribute their ongoing success.

Responsibilities for this Senior Accountant / Team Manager role include:

• Overseeing accounts preparation delivery and output for a range of clients
• Reviewing and planning the work of more junior members of staff
• Overseeing the training and development of a small team of more junior accountants
• Management of a team of; Junior Accountants, Semi Senior Accountants & Senior Accountants
• Assisting with client development and process development for the practice

This job would suit a Senior Accountant/Manager with experience of managing client relationships and also Junior Accountants/Senior Accountants. Experience in a supervisory role is essential as this role will involve managing and directing a small team. The perfect Team Manager will be ACCA/ACA qualified with at least five years’ experience of working within a busy public practice accountancy firm. This role will enable the accountant to enjoy an exciting and rewarding career with input into the development of the practice.
