The Company:

This global law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Market Intelligence Manager to help shape and manage the firm's approach to business and client development, including the development and management of an effective infrastructure to support this strategic initiative.

The Responsibilities:

·Creating the firm's market intelligence infrastructure and processes to ensure the delivery of high quality, timely research and analysis to lawyers and Marketing/BD teams.

·Project planning and delivery of research reports covering external market environment (clients, targets, target markets, industry sectors, products/services, competitors), including taking the initial brief of requirements from lawyers or industry group/regional Marketing/BD team, analysis of internal and external data and information sources, drafting reports, delivery/presentation of reports as and when required.

·Conduct client, target, market research specifically to inform the firm's global and regional strategies; industry group and geographic business planning; and support business development activities.

·Liaise with Industry group and regional Marketing/BD teams to ensure all research and market intelligence requirements are being met and report accordingly.

·Identify appropriate resources for primary and secondary research and manage third party suppliers where relevant.

·Working with the Client Development Executive and other teams as appropriate (eg Knowledge Management), develop the use of the firm's CRM database (InterAction) as an effective tool to track activity with clients and look at ways the database can be used to support client development and drive business development activity.

The Candidate:

·Excellent project management, operational skills and a strong sense of strategic vision, as well as strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

·Experience of running multiple research projects across geographies, industry sectors, and clients.

·Able to think strategically and commercially and with the ability to interpret data effectively and report trends, issues and opportunities in a compelling way.

·Graduate or equivalent industry calibre, with excellent written and oral communications skills; strong interpersonal and influencing skills are also important.
