I am currently working on an exclusive brief with an industry leading multi site business to recruit a Group Head of Procurement. This is a brand new position in their structure and you will be joining the business at a very exciting period in their history.

Develop and lead a cross-territory team to create and deliver commercially aware procurement strategies that leverage scale and maximise opportunities from the Company's transformation and acquisition growth across Europe. Working with the senior executive team to align with business strategy and enable the Company to deliver against its growth and profitability targets

  • Lead the integration of procurement strategies with parent company and develop plans to integrate acquisition companies in the future
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of procurement professionals, ensuring the right structure is in place to deliver against key objectives
  • Develop infrastructure to support both operational and capital growth of the business across Europe
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure commercial requirements, deliverables and priorities are met
  • Drive opportunities to maximise revenue and synergise costs across all geographical regions
  • Deliver a comprehensive suite of procurement and supply chain services to all Group companies ensuring a balance between cost, quality and service
  • Develop and implement an appropriate range of sourcing strategies for the categories of expenditure required by the business
  • Establish and review KPI's, ensuring performance information is provided and work with stakeholders to ensure there is service delivery planning, continuous improvement & ROI reporting
  • Monitor macro-market trends for key commodities and be aware of developments in key suppliers and customers through effective supplier and customer relationship management
  • Ensure that procurement activities are effectively communicated and supported across the business


MCIPS and ideally degree qualified

Proven track record in Indirect Procurement within Retail / FMCG / Professional Services industries

Ability to lead and mentor a team to deliver outstanding results

High level of commercial acumen

Experience of operating at a global level

Multi site operation experience is desirable
