As Head of Finance, Operations and Communications Communications you will oversee all financial aspects of the business and drive the company’s financial budgeting and planning. You will facilitate the IT support, security and infrastructure as well as overseeing the Risk department, which includes the control of stock, cash and the maintenance of excellent audit and compliance standards across the estate.

Integral in this role is the ability to understand and facilitate a team of analysts to produce quality sales and data reports and analysis to key stakeholders across the business on a routine and ad hoc basis. A good grasp of commissions structures and trackers will be fundamental to success. You will maintain and develop internal control policies and procedures as required.

Support the implementation of the business strategy through the delivery of key projects and work with other department heads to ensure their Finance, Operations and Communication requirements are met. To do this and ensure the client is at the forefront of development, you will constantly seek feedback and look internally at areas of improvement as well as externally seeking new developments in the marketplace.

Excellent communication and networking both internally with key operators as well as externally with stakeholders and influencers. Ensuring good communication, structure and reporting will provide important information in a timely and effective manner.

The position will have leadership and strategic responsibilities and be responsible for a team of passionate and professional individuals. You must thrive on working in a fast paced retail business.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

·Financial analysis of sales data and financial information to ensure payments and revenue share is correctly paid.

·Oversee the analysis of staff commissions to ensure the business makes accurate and timely payments to employees

·Assess the financial performance of the company as well as its risks to continuously drive the company’s financial strategy and planning forward

·Maintenance of company P&L’s to ensure all key departments remain on budget and tracking against business plans.

·You will ensure the delivery of an up to date digital environment fit for the ambition and growth of this business, continuously evaluating and improving our digital technologies.

·Align IT and digital initiatives to the business strategy, ensuring IT systems, processes and policies are in line with the clients core values and strategic plans

·Oversee the day to day delivery of the IT support and infrastructure for 16 retail sites including a contact centre, including maintenance of a CRM and other software solutions.

·Maintain high levels of IT protection with particular focus on our IT systems, networks and data. Implementation of an Information Security policy.

·Support the software development of our website and app, ensure all updates and development work is completed on time.

·Ensure all business departments and functions are equipped to communicate the best and most effective way and be responsible for improving the knowledge and communication of each team.

·Oversee the management of the Risk Department ensuring excellent standards of audit and compliance across the business. Key to this role is to ensure FCA requirements are met and the business understands what is required to remain compliant.

·Management of a team, giving them the freedom to think creatively and put into action new ideas and plans.

·Support the business in any store refit/opening program, ensuring all IT aspects are delivered to a high quality and on time.

·Ensuring good communication, structure and reporting to provide important information in a timely and effective manner to all stakeholders.

·Excellent relationship building with all our current stakeholders, so as to grow our network and increase your sphere of influence

·Any ad hoc duties that are reasonably required of you.

Essential Skills Criteria

·Proven experience and knowledge of Financial analysis and forecasting

·Proficient in the use of MS Office and SAGE

·Proven track record of delivering in a results driven environment on time and working under pressure

·Exemplary organisation and planning skills, with proven experience in delivering complex projects within challenging deadlines to budget

·Can excite, lead and motivate teams to deliver against target

·Able to think on your feet, multi tasking different issues even in the face of challenges

·Good understanding of digital technologies and IT software

·Have experience of managing and delivered KPI targets consistently

·Knowledge and able to show examples of ROI and working to a budget in managing projects

Desirable Criteria

·Proven success within a senior role within a retail business

·ACCA or equivalent qualification in accounting and finance

·Degree in a field relevant to the job description

·Evidence of working on a large scale projects and software implementation with examples of ROI analysis

·Experience in an audit and compliance role

·Excellent networking skills, demonstrates the ability to develop contacts within the community
