Manpower are looking for a Workshop Manager to join our well-known client managing over 25 vehicle technicians over two of their sites across Milton Keynes and Northampton. To look after our client's internal fleet, as Workshop Manager you will play a key role in ensuring a first-class service to the business' modern fleet of both LGV and HGVs.

In the role of Workshop Manager, you will lead a team of around 25 and your responsibilities will include;
*Making sure that the distribution centre can run efficiently by making sure that all vehicle maintenance is carried out effectively
*Providing hands-on technical help to the team of Vehicle Technicians
*Co-ordinating the work of the technicians
*Conduct inspection work to check that it's up to standards
*Check that the fleet is compliant to DVLA and VOSA standards
*Hold appraisal meetings with the team to ensure that they're trained and focused
*Complete all relevant paperwork related to the maintenance of the fleet
*Work closely with other internal departments

*Has a technical background on the tools with LGV and HGVs (including relevant qualifications)
*Experienced in leading teams in a dealership/fleet environment
*Holds a strong understanding of DVLA/VOSA standards
*Is ideally CPC qualified (not essential)
*Committed to their role and is able to work flexible hours (including weeknights and weekends - if required)
*Good customer service skills
*Willingness to develop your skillet and undertake further training
*Able to use IT systems (such as Microsoft Excel and Word)
