Our client, based on the outskirts of Southampton, is recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their existing team. This is a varied role that requires someone who is happy to turn their hand to a number of tasks including dealing with invoices, bookkeeping, management of numerous bank accounts, reconciliations, reporting on sales and client support. The office is fairly small so a willingness to muck in is essential.
This is a very busy and varied role where you will be working within a small team. Unlike a traditional accounting position you will be required to liaise with clients on a daily basis and although the role is mainly finance focussed, you will also need to get involved in customer support and general administration. This is a responsible position and you will be responsible for the client accounts for the region.
The ideal candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a team player who is happy working under pressure. Previous experience dealing with accounts is essential, formal qualifications in this area may be an advantage. You will be able to demonstrate experience in dealing with ledgers and general cash management as well as reconciliations. Experience of undertaking an accounting role in a regulated industry would be an advantage. Due to location, it is essential that you have your own vehicle.
