Chemistry Teacher - Teacher of Chemistry
Chemistry teacher required to cover a maternity leave at a Wigan based Secondary school.
Due to an upcoming maternity cover within this schools Science department, this large Church of England 11-18 Secondary seek to appoint a Chemistry specialist on a long term temporary basis (12 months).
*Full time teaching position - From April 2017 - 12 month basis
*Located on the outskirts of Wigan city centre
*Ofsted graded 'Good’ secondary school
*Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant upon experience
The successful applicant will ideally be a chemistry specialist who is confident delivering all aspects of Science through key stages 3 and Chemistry up to GCSE level. If you are a results driven teacher who has a track record of raising attainment, this could be the ideal opportunity for you to excel within a forward thinking department.
With the current Chemistry teacher due to go on maternity leave prior to the Easter break, the school wish to meet suitable applicants ASAP. Any Chemistry teachers interested in this post will need to be fully committed to all departmental responsibilities, including; Planning and marking, following schemes of work, attending regular training and development opportunities and half termly parents evenings.
During the schools most recent Ofsted report (2016), this schools management team were highlighted as a particular strength as they provide clear direction and support to staff at school. Located on the outskirts of the city centre close to Robin Park, the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; St Helens, Warrington, Chorley, Leigh, Bolton and Salford areas.
