Health and Wellbeing Specialist - Employability/ Occupational Health

Location: North London


Tenure:Permanent - 37.5 Hours per Week

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Our client a National Charity who have been established for over 35 years, helping communities create brighter futures by providing employment opportunities, skills development, training and health and well-being services across the UK.

We are recruiting for a new and exciting position for a Health and Wellbeing Specialist based in North London, this is a brand new position to the charity and they will be seeking an expert in their field to help design and develop their new pilot programme.

The Role

The role as an overview will be described as a super adviser within Health and Wellbeing, you will be providing effective support to individuals in sickness absence, improving overall their health and to maintain employment. This position will involve caseload management, holistic health and work assessments, varied approaches, employment coaching and career guidance. Each case will be varied and you will need to work in partnerships with GPs, Community Health Teams as well as other community service providers. Part of this pilot scheme will involve your knowledge and expertise in contributing to the design and development of the new employment retention service, integrated into clinical settings and practice.


Experience working with various caseloads within a health/ employment barriers/ occupational health environment is a needed. Understanding of the practical impact of common health conditions which can cause barriers for individuals ability to work and being able to breakdown barriers provide advice and guidance for action plans to individuals. This position will need the contribution of designing and implementing the service so drive, passion and organisation will be key.
