Desktop Support Field Engineer - Up to £25,000 - Coventry with Travel

Capita are an industry leading provider of IT and professional services and we have a great opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer to join our team based out of Bromley but with travel across the Midlands and North. We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer with solid 1st Line experience and some 2nd Line exposure. We are also keen to identify a candidate who wants to progress and build an eventual career in 3rd Line Support with us.

The role will be based out of Coventry 2 days a week with travel to our Loughborough, Blackburn and Carlisle sites.

About the role

With over 1400 users over multiple sites this role will provide both remote and deskside support. You'll provide remote desktop support using remote access tools and respond to calls logged on service desk.

You will be hands on and build, configure and deploy PC and Laptop images and there is also the opportunity to get involved with project work.

Your experience will include:

  • Experience of working in a desktop support environment.
  • Robust 1st Line experience and 2nd line experience including;

- Support of Microsoft Windows 7 clients

- Strong Microsoft Office 2007-2016 support skills

- A basic technical understanding of networking

  • An appetite to learn, train and progress your career through 2nd and 3rd Line.
