Our client, a fashion group of companies, is looking for a Sales/Business Development Manager to work in their London office for a 12 months maternity cover contract that can be extended further and/or having a perm contract after that.



1) To set and agree annual sales and margin budgets
2) To develop strong business relationships and manage customers in line with company policy
3) Maximise sales and margin

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


* Seek out potential new markets and territories in line with current business.
* Continually review operational & sales methods, across all areas of responsibility etc. to seek continuous improvements.
* Ensure brand integrity is maintained internationally.
* Responsible for agreeing Agent & Distributor terms with the SSM.
* Manage Critical path effectively.

Sales & Operations:

* Manage and grow business in existing territories.
* Responsible for the sales for all brands in existing International territories.
* Responsible for ensuring agreed margins are met.
* Responsible for managing and understanding the cost base for the international division.
* Liaise closely with SSM & Creative team to ensure individual market product requirements are met within the range selections.
* Visit all territories regularly to maintain relationships with agents & distributors & to better understand each market & its individual needs & trading patterns.
* Attend, oversee & manage international trade shows where & when relevant.
* Organise reviews in London to meet regularly with agents & distributors or retailers.
* Ensure all SMS requirements are adhered to for all FOB distributors/retailers.
* Attend range reviews.


* To ensure good communication channels are maintained internally and externally and follow GBG's company vision.
* Submit monthly business reports to SSM on all territories/accounts.


* Manage and develop Assistant Sales Manager(s) effectively.
* Deputise within the international sales team as and when required.


* Any other ad hoc duties as & when required.
