Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority is looking to recruit a Workshop Supervisor who will be based at the Authority’s vehicle workshop in Aylesbury (Authority Headquarters).

Position: Workshop Supervisor
Hours: Full Time - 39 hours per week (includes 2 hours contractual overtime)
Salary: £27,248 - £28,395
per annum (excludes overtime)

You will be part of, and responsible for managing a team of technicians that carry out the servicing, repair and maintenance of the fleet of emergency vehicles, plant, equipment and support vehicles that serve the Authority. You will also be responsible for deputising for the Workshop Manager as required.

You will be required to work 39 hours per week which includes 2 hours contractual overtime, and with the flexibility to work some additional days/hours as required. You will also be required to take a place on the technician call out rota.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate good communication and organisational skills and is able to work on their own initiative to a high standard. The ability to prioritise work is essential, as there will be occasions were critical responses are required in aiding our customers’ requirements at short notice. You should have supervisory experience and have acquired the qualifications and experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repairs.

You are required to have a full driving licence up to and including LGV (Cat C)
