SF Group are currently recruiting for an Underwriting Administrator for our client based in Coleshill. This role is paying 18,000 per year.
This is a permanent position to provide administrative support to an ever growing business.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to use basic software packages (i.e. Word, Excel) and to learn the organisations internal IT systems.

  • Process and verify customer applications for credit, investigating any discrepancies or concerns
  • Accept or decline applications in line with company credit policy and communicate decisions to colleagues
  • Ensure any credit granted to the customer is affordable and sustainable and that each customer application is treated fairly and consistently
  • Ensure all internal and external guidelines, regulations and legislation are adhered to
  • Ensure customer information is accurate and up to date

  • Handle customer interactions positively and pro-actively

  • Verify information provided on customer application against the proof of income and expenditure and current borrowing (including overdrafts)
  • Highlight and investigate any discrepancies
  • Ensure any credit offered to the customer is affordable and sustainable
  • Communicate credit decisions to colleagues clearly and promptly
  • Decline any unaffordable or unsustainable applications for credit, in line with company lending policy
  • Act within the confines of Company Policy, Consumer Law and Financial Conduct Authority Regulations
  • Meet departmental SLAs for handling priority and non-priority applications
  • Provide underwriting support and guidance to colleagues when required
  • Provide a positive experience on every customer interaction
  • Handle any complaints positively and pro-actively resolving to the customers satisfaction where possible
  • Ensure that customer information is accurate, updating the customer records where necessary
  • Undertake various administrative duties as required
