My client, a listed media business, based in London is looking for a Management Reporting Analyst to join the business. This is a very exciting opportunity for a recently qualified candidate to take a role within an evolving business. You will be a key member of the finance team and will be responsible for the delivery of results to the wider business and group.
Manage and deliver division month end reporting processes, managing reporting requirements both internally and to group head office.
Manage and develop budget/forecasting process including preparing presentation materials.
Be the finance business partner for central cost budget holders.
Complete ongoing analytical review across the business and challenge actual and forecast/budget data.
Preparation of the consolidated monthly management accounts through to the Board Pack and all related Management reporting including analysing variances to plan.
Consolidation of monthly forecasting models and reporting thereon. Participation in the annual budget process including co-ordination of the process, consolidation and preparation of presentations.
Day to day overview and review of centrally managed costs and ownership of the internal recharge policy for costs. Analysis and reporting of costs as part of monthly reporting cycle.
Finance business partnering to the business central cost owners, including budgeting/forecasting and decision support.
Financial Planning and Analysis as required to support the business.
Instil best practice for management reporting process throughout the business.
Ensure consistency in application of reporting definitions and accounting treatments.
Evaluate and implement improvements to planning and forecasting tools.
Managing all aspects of headcount reporting in conjunction with cost models.
Continual review and improvement recommendations across all financial reporting.
Ad hoc analysis and project support of the broader finance function.
The successful candidate will be ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified. You will be looking for a new challenge and may have recently qualified. This is a great business to work in and will provide a lot of hands on exposure. You may be looking to make your first move from practice into industry however you must have accounts preparation experience.
Experience within the media sector will be advantageous however not a deal breaker if you do not work in this sector. You will be bright and a confident communicator. The ability to apply yourself and work independently is also important.
