As an experienced Trade/ Channel Marketing Professional geared towards the B2C and running promotional marketing projects, you'll have the responsibility for the development and implementation of Trade Marketing Account plans and to develop the UK strategy for a designated channel(s), in line with the European product and marketing strategies and in turn to help support achievement of the channel sales budget.

What We Give:
Working with Key Account Managers and Account Managers you will design, sell-in and execute robust and commercially sound Account Activity Plans for all key accounts, in line with Pan-European pricing model, which also supports Pan European Key Performance Indicator scores.

Your commercial acumen will allow you to develop channel strategies with the Trade Marketing Manager, UK Sales-Channel Management and European colleagues, as appropriate.
Monitor channel performance against plan and make recommendations and action based on results you will play an active role in the development of European promotions, Point of Sales and Trade Marketing projects.

Possessing a clear understanding & proactively using Market Intelligence, Customer and Shopper insight you will develop and utilise your knowledge to gain an excellent understanding of the local UK and Ireland markets and the dynamics of the assigned channel.

Developing relationships with major customers' Marketing personnel you will use Canon Europe's Trade Marketing tools and resources effectively, where necessary with high-quality customisation, to compliment Canon Marketing Strategy.

Other important aspects of the role are the management of the inventory of promotional items. Tracking of advertising and sales promotion spend and ensuring that allocated funding sources are optimised and not overspent and to provide analysis and evaluation on all activity for return on investment. Carry out regular field visits to improve sales needs and customer knowledge and to communicate aspects of marketing strategy

Confidently be able to present Marketing plans internally and to the customer.

Self Development is important at Canon and you will be encouraged to take further training to develop your skills in this role through the support and guidance of your Manager.

What We Ask:
Your previous experience in project managing Trade Marketing campaigns will ensure you succeed in this role, where you have proven experience of being innovative and commerical stute to gain an excellent return on investment.

Strong negotiation skills and confidence in presenting your creative innovative strategies will give you the crediability internally and with the customer. Having excellent numercial and analytical skills, as well as a good attention to detail, will ensure you have the skills to execute your marketing plans effectively.

The role requires someone who thrives on working in a fast paced environment and is quick in understanding the issues to adopt workable, commercially viable Channel marketing solutions and plans that compliment the consumer electronics/FMCG sector. Experience in either of these areas would be ideal,but not essential, though having run promotional activity is important.
Ability to travel within UK and Europe when required.

University degree specialising in Marketing Management would be preferable. levant experience in a similar role or sales role within Consumer Electronics industry or FMCG environment.
Computer literate, with good understanding of MS office applications.

Financial Management. Marketing Communication. Manage supplier and customer relationships (internal and external) as well as creative thinker are vital to suceeding in this role.
