PACS Linux Customer Application Support Engineer Healthcare Systems Specialist
Location: Watford / NW London
Salary: 45-62K + excellent benefits package + career progression

PACS Linux Customer Application Support Engineer Healthcare Systems Specialist (picture archiving and communication system) Deployment and Support Engineer will effectively deploy PACS solutions, provide the software knowledge, training, support and guidance to our clients to enable them to make a difference in their day-to-day operations and ultimately improve their delivery of patient care!

PACS Linux Customer Application Support Engineer Healthcare Systems Specialist responsibilities:

Effectively deploy PACS software and maintain the deployment testing procedures
Support clients requests transmitted to the Support Centre by phone, email
Provide onsite services to clients` hospitals/clinics as a visible representative meeting with key personnel at each installed site
Execute the final installation and testing tasks of the PACS and then facilitate its commissioning ("golive")
Provide PACS training to client`s personnel
Be accountable to the Project/Account Manager for ensuring that the PACS is operational and satisfies the requirements of the sale
Analyze and troubleshoot the workflow of a complex integration of network devices, workstations and servers
Perform database maintenance using SQL statements
Manage network devices
Edit configuration files on Linux servers or troubleshoot applications on remote workstations running Microsoft Windows

Pre-requisites
Experience of Unix/ Linux systems administrator, including system and network administration
ITIL V3 Foundation certified, with strong Incident and Problem Management experience;
Remote troubleshooting (ssh, VPN tunnels)
SQL and knowledge of databases (Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Microsoft Windows (workstation configuration and troubleshooting)
Perl, python, shell scripting or any other scripting language
TCP/ IP, network security, IPSec, VPN
Low level Unix tape management (mt, tar, cpio) and technologies (DLT, LTO)
