Support Workers - Orchard Close:

Orchard Close 2 and 3 provides homes for people with mental health needs who have previously lived in a local hospital or of a similar setting. Offering individual care and support packages, staff are encouraged to place emphasis on individual needs, offering residents the opportunity to build a trusting relationship.

Job Title: Night Support Workers.
Location: Wanstead, London.
Salary: £17,266 to £17,960 per Annum + Paid Training + 30 Days Leave.
Working Hours: 37 Hours per Week.

FT / PT Vacancies
3 Positions (1X 30 Hour Maternity Cover- FIXED TERM)
(2 x 37 hours Night Support Worker)

Supporting and empowering residents with mental health needs to live semi-independently is a rewarding career. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide wide-ranging practical and emotional support.

You will also require a certain amount of flexibility, as you will be required to work shifts including weekends, bank holidays and nights on a rota basis.

As a support worker you will embrace everything from planning recreational and leisure activities to assisting with budgeting, food preparation, housekeeping and personal care. You will also liaise with GP’s, Social Workers and other care agencies.

Able to demonstrate experience of working with mental health in a care setting would be advantage. A Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 qualification would be advantageous and you must be a good communicator and a good team player.

An understanding of personal care programmes, a positive attitude and respect for people as individuals is desirable
