We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Service Manager like you  with great leadership abilities and a genuine passion to lead our Home from Hospital service in Surrey.  This is an exciting new service that works with 4 out of the 5 CCG areas in Surrey with colocation out of hospitals in Epsom, Frimley, Guildford and Chertsey. You would have the opportunity to be based from home but also have access to our office in Guildford. 

Home from Hospital provides very short term support to customers, most of whom are frail and elderly, being discharged from hospital and aims to ensure they do not need an early readmission. Support is needs led but does not involve personal care.  You would line manage the team of colleagues and volunteers delivering this service and be the key point of contact for external partners.

You will be responsible for internal and external reporting, developing our relationships with health partners across Surrey and recruiting volunteers. This is a really exciting opportunity for you to bring energy and ambition and to take on a new challenge!

A bit about you

We want someone like you, who has significant experience as a Service Manager in managing large contracts, associated KPI?s, budgets and can drive the consistent delivery of high quality services to meet the needs of our clients and commissioners.   To flourish in the role, your key strengths will lie in people management and motivation, bringing colleagues together to share information and best practice and maintaining strong professional relationships with both internal peers and their teams as well as external stakeholders.  We?ll be impressed with your passion for promoting independence and social inclusion which is matched by your focus on quality, efficiency and your ability to develop service provision in new and innovative ways.  

We would be particularly interested in hearing from you if you have experience of working in health settings and or recruiting volunteers but appreciate that people from many different backgrounds will have things to offer this role. You?ll be able to respond quickly and appropriately to emerging risks to individuals, teams or the contract and it?s also important that you have excellent communication skills, IT skills and strong analytical skills too. We need you to have a driving licence, car and car insurance business cover as some travelling will be required.
