The job role
The role of an applications engineer is to provide development support to both current-model engineering and platform projects. The role primarily manages the design validation and release control of software. The role provides applications engineering support for system set-up training, system performance validation and acts to capture learning from field issue which can be harnessed to improve the product offering.
Roles and Responsibilities an application engineer:
*Develop and manage the software release process
*Validation of hardware changes and new hardware platforms
*Support production team with development of SW related SOP's
*Performance testing of software and hardware
*Assist in software and hardware resolutions
*Provide a strong interface between software team and field service group on application topics
Skills
For this position you need to be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline e.g. mechanical, automotive, aerospace and design. Significant experience in working with high tech detection equipment with an excellent knowledge of electrical and electronic systems used in machinery.
